The Resolution menu on the converter page offers 72 DPI for screen use, 150 DPI, which is the default, and 300 DPI for print. Higher resolutions give sharper but larger TIFF files.
Can I convert only some pages of the PDF to TIFF?

The Pages menu has two choices: all pages, which is the default, or the first page only. There is no way to type in a page range. For other pages, split the PDF into single pages with /pdf-split/ and convert the pages you need.

Yes. Set the Pages menu to the first page only, and the converter returns a single TIFF instead of one image per page. Choose 72 or 150 DPI if the image is meant as a small thumbnail.
Image formats such as PNG and JPG are made of pixels, so zooming in past their resolution shows the pixels. For sharper pages choose 300 DPI, the highest setting, or convert the PDF to SVG, which keeps text and vector drawings sharp at any zoom level.
